First I should say I love quilting but can't ever figure what size something needs to be cut without a pattern. Never have been able to and learned to deal with it.
Anyway last year I saw a quilt that was log cabin blocks but were off-set (I guess thats the word I want). The quilt had a panel on the left and rows of log cabin blocks on the right and bottom making in much larger. Does anyone recall seeing anything like that. I wanted to make it but can no longer find the magazine and have no clue how to figue the blocks so that'd come out even. Sorry in advance if this doesn't make a lot of sense. Vicky |
Did it look like this one?
http://www.equilters.com/library/logcabin/halflog1.htm and here is a page of different types of log cabin blocks. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...IQFRML#x0y6114 |
Hi Sharon, no but I probably explained wrong. The log cabin blocks were normal. The quilt top had a panel on the left then 2 or 3 rows of log cabin blocks running down right side and bottom. I just needed pattern to figure what size to make log cabin blocks. If I try without knowing sizes the corner nad end peices are always wrong.

Post this info and we can help you with the size of Log Cabin Blocks to fill the right side and bottom. |
That would be wonderfully nice of you. I know to most it may be simple but I never get it right after 5 or 6 years of quilting. I'll measure my panel tonight. Thanks
