Does anyone know what this pattern is called? I don't know where I got this pix from, but I would love to make this table runner.

dcamarote 06-04-2014 10:45 AM

Wish I could help you. I hope you find out because it is beautiful.

Sewfine 06-04-2014 11:35 AM

That know the name, but sure like it. You've come to the right place for help.

Jingle 06-04-2014 01:18 PM

Very pretty, I can't help you. Someone will know.

charsuewilson 06-04-2014 04:44 PM

Isn't the pattern called sunburst? You might try googling that to see if that's what it is.

This would be easy to reproduce. It is essentially a Dresden Plate in the middle with triangular points at the junctions. I think it is lovely as well. Good luck with it.

No clue about the name but please share it when you find the pattern. It is beautiful.

ManiacQuilter2 06-05-2014 03:52 AM

Wasn't it in the 90s when those Dahlia patterns were so popular? There are a couple of post that I got when Google "Dahlia dresden quilt pattern". Hope it helps in your search.

NanH 06-05-2014 03:54 AM

Looks like this pattern is a Sunburst and maybe the pattern on EBay.

Geri B 06-05-2014 03:56 AM

Dahlia design is more " rounded" diamond shaped pieces...this does look like a "modern" take off of such. Let us know

Sew Hooked 06-05-2014 04:01 AM

Absolutely no clue . . . but doesn't it frustrate you when you see a quilt that you'd like to reproduce and you can't??? :)

I know this pattern by Twilight Star. It can be found in Judy Mathison's book Mariner's compass Quilts-Setting a new Course.
http://www.amazon.com/Mariners-Compa...d_bxgy_b_img_y

Only the maker of the topper omitted the background piece and appeared to leave a fairly larger opening in the middle for the circle applique. I made a topper using the same pattern. Here is a picture of it before I quilted it.

Yes, my Giant Dahlia quilt looks identical to this topper. If this topper had the last row of diamonds sewn in it would round out the topper to the Dahlia pattern.

Don't know the official name, but I would call it Plumb Beautiful.

fangman 06-05-2014 06:35 AM

Dar-midlife 06-05-2014 07:06 AM

What a great pattern. Thanks for asking about it. I'm putting the link in my "patterns to get" list.

It does look like the center is a Dresden, then small 'kite' shapes then each row is a bit larger until the final large blue 'kite' shape.

Here it is: http://www.anniescatalog.com/list.ht...&go.x=8&go.y=3

ging10ging 06-05-2014 03:43 PM

Very pretty the center is a Dresden but don't know the rest but Sunburst sounds like a place to start. I love it myself. Sue

olga10 06-05-2014 06:24 PM

Thank you Quilting Board members. Yes the pattern I was looking for is called Dahlia and is at Aunnie's catalog. Someone set me a message telling me where to find it.

You guys are great!

This pattern is Dahlia Star by Moose on the Porch Quilts
www.moosequilts.com
I made it last fall with fall leaf fabrics. It turned out very nice as a table topper in my kitchen.

Lovely piece (sorry, no help with the pattern name)

mrs. fitz 06-06-2014 10:59 AM

Looks like Dahlia or Giant Dahlia to me.

shirleyd 06-06-2014 04:24 PM

That's a beautiful pattern and quilt. Also love the colors. I don't know the name but will see if I can find it from others' ideas. Thanks for posting.

IBQUILTIN 06-06-2014 08:29 PM

Sure wish I could help you. I know I have seen it before. I agree with the others that it might be a dahlia star. Best bet is to google it.

sdeaaz 06-07-2014 11:26 AM

Easy for you to say jitkaau....lol... I would have trouble reproducing.
