Looking for a pattern
1 Attachment(s)
I have seen this pattern referred to as Batik Blur and Northwinds, but even with that much info I have been unsuccessful in finding the pattern. Any information will be appreciated

It looks like "ocean waves" or something very similar to that.

google "northwind quilt pattern" and it comes up immediately. A very simple pattern that can be executed on graph paper.

They are cool batiks - I am, however, needing to know where I can find a printed pattern - I would like to kit it for our quilt shop and it just makes life easier if I can include a printed pattern, so if anyone can locate it I would appreciate the assistance.

It's a traditional block, Northwinds. Its in the public domain, so you could do a hand out.
http://www.woodenthimble.com/freepatt.html#northwind (it's the 3rd block down) It was in a quilt book I used to have. She did it in small triangle brights with the other small triangles & large triangles a brights plaid. I do not have the book, lent it out, didn't get it back. Sorry, I don't remember name or author. |

That is a fascinating pattern. Simple to sew, but with the way the color placement is in the quilt, you'd have to figure out all your color placements before you even start. The color placements make the colors undulate and shimmer across the quilt. Another one for my "bucket list". Now I have to start collecting greens, teals, muted purples and dull yellows. I do love the colors that this quilt was done in and I do have some of the colors. Assuming that the piano strip borders are 2" wide means that each quarter of the block is a 6 inch section. I'm in trouble now, because I am already figuring out how to do the quilt.
