looking for a pattern
1 Attachment(s)
hi all, I am looking for the pattern to this quilt. Does anyone recognize it? Please help, thanks so much!
|
I don't know the name, but it is easy to reproduce. Each block is a larger floral HST and 2 smaller HSTs in an attic window format. Since the smaller ones tend to repeat, sew strips together then cut HSTs from the sewn and pressed strips. The hardest part is figuring out how many of each type you want for the size of quilt you want to make.

Love the desigh. I hope someone can provide the actual name of the pattern.
|
No sorry can't help you :)

i couldn't find the right tutorial to cut 4-strip sets, but this tut shows how to cut the sets to 45 degree triangles showing 1 up and one down. scroll down just past where the finger is holding the folded over fabric

Welcome from western NY and happy quilting :)
|
I remember seeing that quilt probably a number of years ago. I think it was in a book. Welcome to the board.
|
That is a great looking quilt especially in the colors you have shown, bobbieanne. QuiltnNan has certainly shown you how it is set up. One would have to make sure they have enough of the fabrics before starting. Probably can determine that with EQ. I should really buy that.

Welcome to the quilting board! That is a beautiful quilt, where did you get the picture from, you should be able to trace it's origin from there.

I have a pattern named Costa Maya published from QuiltWoman.com. very similar to the one JudyTheSewer, yet different. like both patterns....
|
Beautiful quilt. Great job on the instructions, QuiltNan!

Cambridge Square Ro Gregg Based on Cambridge Square collection - by Ro Gregg It seems to be a free downloadable pattern. |
Looks like it to me, thanks for the link. Free PDF. The link worked for me.
|
The only difference I can see is that on Northcott's they did not use the other 1/2 of the 45 degree cut in the strip. Hey, once you get that horse galloping, you won't know the difference! lol Nice pattern. Thanks for the download link.

Thank you for finding this, Judy the Sewer - and it's Northcott! Don't you just love to feel Northcott fabric - it's just so soft and the colors are always so beautiful. I know I wasn't the one asking for the pattern, but after seeing it I was so hoping someone had a link. This board is the very best!
|
General Comment. I never cease to be amazed at the talent on this Board! QuiltnNan, Judy the Sewer, and the rest of you are simply amazing! Thank you...and Happy Valentine's Day!
|
Worked for me too. Have seen this before. Looks like an illusion.
