Looking for patterns for applique planes from the kids' movie

Hi! I am new here, so please excuse me, if this has been asked before. I am making quilts for PROJECT LINUS and I would love to make one with the "main character" planes from the children's movie, PLANES. I was thinking of some applique planes. Anyone know if this is even "out there", or am I going to have to rely on my remedial drawing skills?? LOL

You can go about this a couple of ways. There is a panel with Dusty an friends: http://funfabrics.com/cartoon-storyb...d-Cotton-Panel . You could use the panel as is or cut out the character and applique ala Broderie Perse method. Your other option is to google images or coloring book pages of Disney Planes like I did here: https://www.google.com/search?q=disn...2&ved=0CB0QsAQ Then you can print them out or enlarge them as needed and use those for your applique pattern.

Here are a couple of sites:

http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilt...rt-quilt/41338

The first is for the panel for the movie on ebay; second is a plane pattern on Craftsy. If you google "plane applique" and Plane coloring pages, you'll get a lot of sites to look at.

Hi....you can also Google "Disney Planes coloring pages free printable" and perhaps find some there to use as your guides. Good luck...sounds like a cute idea - and for such a good cause.

I would go with a panel being that it would be easier. I design this baby quilt on EQ7 using some very old Hoffman fabric. Pattern is based on Warm Wishes but I made some changes.
