Looking for Pineapple quilt pattern
 

I came across a quilt on pinterest but am unable to track down the pattern. It could be an original without a pattern.

Thanks Crackers... but the pattern I'm looking for has different size pieces that give it the swirl effect.

I believe the pattern is Wild Waves by Nancy Mahoney.
Not sure if the pattern is available but she has a class for it.

You might also look for "offset pineapple quilt pattern". There are 2 quilts on the right that are the exact same pattern that you're looking for, but have different color placement. They're both tagged with the "offset pineapple" label.

Maybe some one with EQ can use this to draft the pattern.

I found this diagram, but it doesn't give measurements. There is a red/white quilt on pinterest that has an extra round that's also very nice. If you can't find a pattern I would be happy to do it up on EQ for you. Send me a pm.

I did take Nancy Mahoney"s Wild Waves class and have the pattern...PM me if this is the pattern you are looking for!

JanieW, is that the coloring page from Wild Waves? I had drawn the block in EQ7, and if yours is from Wild Waves, then I definitely didn't know what I was doing. Going to look at it again.

I don’t know Barb. I found it on Pinterest when I was snooping around there. When I saw this thread I thought it was similar to Wild Waves. It was under offset pineapple blocks.

Nancy Mahoney's pattern is pretty close …. I can't tell if it's the color choices of the original quilt that I was looking that makes it look like it has a bit more of a curve in it.

JanieW, thank you for drafting it out and a link to some instructions. A paper piecer for sure, although I suspect that most of the pineapple quilts using thinner strips would likely work better paper pieced.

I too searched a long time before finding it! It is a book called Rich Traditions by Nancy Mahoney.
I love this quilt and hope I live long enough to make it.

Found the pattern in all places …. the thrift store. Was just flipping through one of the 3 magazines that I was planning on buying and lo and behold, Nancy Mahoney's pattern was in one of them.
