Am looking for a small square string quilt. Maybe 3" squares. Anyone seen one please pm me. Hope this is posted in the correct place. Forgive me if not.

Thanks.

Are you looking for a picture or pattern?? Those are really small squares for a string quilt...

This is quite unusual! My friend in NC who does quilting had a quilt stolen out of her car! It was a 3" square string quilt. It had not been quilted as yet. She put it in her car to take to class along with 2 sewing machine, one a featerweight, Her quilt, backing & batting & some one stole it from her car(she Forgot to lock) sitting in her driveway. They did not touch the machines or anything else. We have just been checking around. Quilters, LQS, second hand shops etc. Just wasn't really giving out a lot of info. She lives in Maggie Valley, NC. It had 500 squares in it. She had worked for about 3 mo. on it & was just sick about it.

Oh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry for her! After all that work! Some people!

Wow, they must not know much about sewing, or she would be without the FW. Hope she finds her quilt top.

I understand now, that is just a terrible thing to have happen. I just didn't understand what you were asking.

That is just terrible. There is a web site to register lost/stolen quilts. Probably someone here knows the name of it. Good luck to her in its recovery.

It sure takes all kinds to do something like that. It's like with our dog being stolen out of our truck in Feb.

I understand it was a string quilt, but do you know the design it was in?

Here is the link. I lost two quilts that I gave to a friend to quilt who passed away before she could do them. I forgot about this site.
