looking for SIMPLE quilted purse pattern recommendation.

Need a pattern for a quilted purse big enough to also hold a 9 inch tablet. Any suggestions appreciated.

This is a cute tote, but if you're in a hurry this isn't the one to do. The instructions are not well written, steps are repeated and/or left incomplete so they're not clear. I stumbled through it for the first one and then re wrote it so I could understand it. Now I breeze through it but I've made about a dozen of them.

Although you really can't call this one simple, it has a separate compartment area for the tablet, so it may be safer. http://pursepatterns.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=124 My girlfriend made her 3 daughters the bow tuck purse to hold their iPads.

I have made many that are just plain tote bags of whatever size you want. I never used a pattern. But if you want specifics I can walk you thru it.

The Professional Tote Pattern is definitely not a quick & easy pattern.

I make a really nice tote with charm squares but have never had a pattern. Two colors in Batik works very nicely. Just join squares together ..alternating squares. You can make it all one length ...just use as many squares as it takes to get the width and length you want. I sew the exterior body to warm and natural batting and quilt either with feather stitch between squares or straight line quilt whatever you are comfortable with. I then make a lining the same size and quilt it to separate batting. I find double batting gives a nice body to tote. Add a pocket to the interior and a key fob and sew it all together and you are done....sorry don't forget the straps at the top and also a magnetic snap. Almost any tote pattern will help you put it together but it is really simple and pretty fast.
