Looking For
Hi
hope someone can help. I am looling for Krinkle Magic may have a different name but you sew it on your fabric and apply steam and it srinks gets wrinkleee. It was at a quilt class but it cost $20.00 a yard. couldnot afford it. I am hoping I can find something a little cheaper, or maybe a lot cheaper. thank you in advance for any help you can give Tommie |
There's a product called Texture Magic that does that. I think it's pretty pricey as well.

it's called texture magic and normally runs around 20. you can get the same effect by using elastic thread and making a grid like plaid then you can use the steam and get the same thing. I was taught this right after texture magic came out. I had to hand wind the elastic around my bobbin and be careful not to stretch it. it worked great.

you can purchase texture magic online at jhittle. A piece that is 47 by 18 inches is $8.99. I have had good service from this company and find great prices too. No I am not affiliated with them, just like them.

There is also a thread that is made to do this.it is called the incredible shrinking thread at Shoppers Rule. I imagine others have it as well. They also carry the Texture magic. Linda

the elastic is actually called 'elastic thread' is about the size of small crochet cotton and is much cheaper than the 'krinkle' products.... easy to use, you just have to thread several bobbins before starting your project... usually available in black or white and comes on a small tube about 3 in high and 1 inch around when new.... clotilde, nancysnotions, and connecting threads should have it...

Superior Threads carries it - I think they might be the manufacturer? http://www.superiorthreads.com/shop/...agic/products/
I always check eBay - here's a piece double the size for $19: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Texture-Magi...item415c77e3e6 |
I have the shrinking thread. Wanted to save my texture magic. I wanted to make a dog with curled up hair
if that makes sense. I was happy with the results EXCEPT the thread is white and shows on brown material. It would be cute if you wanted to make a sheep that was white. |
