Ideas and inspiration please! I bought a panel of fabric which itself is divided into four panels, one for each season, very colourful, ideal I thought as a present for two little sisters aged 3yrs and 8 months - but I cannot think what to do with it! Cut it into four and use as hangings? Just back and use as one picture? All seems a little boring - any ideas welcome please!

Make puzzle blocks? Separate the panel into 4 parts from top to bottom. Then separate the four panels into thirds from side to side. Use two scraps for the top and bottom of each block. Sew the blocks inside out, leaving a smell hole for turning. Turn right side out, stuff and shape into blocks and hand stitch opening closed. You should now have three blocks. Bottom block will have 4 different bottom pictures, middle block will have 4 different middle pictures, and top block will have 4 different top pictures. Kids like to turn and twist them as they stack them to see the funny designs that appear!

You could make two quilts, one sister gets winter/spring, another gets summer/fall. Then add decorative borders around each set of panels to make 'em big enough.

Or, you could do one panel for the front with decorative borders, and have one in the back with large plain borders. That way it's kindof double-sided. That's what I'd probably do, and make two of those... even though it's lots more work. But maybe you could make drag-around "blankie" sized quilts instead of something big enough for a bed.

I would cut the panels apart and use each of them as the centerpiece for a larger quilt or wall hanging. Add complementary blocks, borders, whatever.

How about table runners...one for each season. I have this panel as well... working on ideas myself..
