In the last few weeks I came across a baby quilt picture that made it look like there was a teddy bear tucked in the quilt I must not of hit the bookmark button hard enough and now I can't find it.... It was soooo cute..

Oh thank you , must of missed this cute quilt.. It isn't the one I saw... The one I saw only had one bear and the quilt wasn't straight across under the arms

I know the one you mean. It is an old pattern that has been around since the 70s. I'll keep looking, I may even have it.:)

Karen, I am sure I have the pattern you want! I have made 4 of them for grandsons and the oldest is 30, so it is an old pattern. It is from a collection called The Gingham Goose, by Gwen Andrews. This was before the internet! The address on the pattern is 1412 No. Broadway, New York, NY 10018. They have several of these. The Teddy Bear is called Sleepy Teddy Quilt.
I made this many years before I started quilting. It is easy and cute. If you cannot find it PM me and I will part with mine! Only for another quilter.

I think you may be looking for the Sleepy Teddy pattern. I have made several, it has been around for a few years. You can find the pattern on www.ginghamgoosepatterns.com. they have wonderful childrens patterns and they are so easy. Carol brown

This sounds like a really cute idea for a quillow, but instead of tucking the quilt into a pillow, tuck it into the bear! Hmmm...imagination at work - any ideas on how to do this?

It seems I am not very good a googeling(SP) as I spent ages yesterday looking for bear in a quilt , teddy bear in a quilt ,sleeping bear in a quilt etc etc
But seeing the other patterns I might have to make a few more..
Re Quillow bear - The only way I can think of is to make a big bear head where the pillow case goes.. Not sure that would work
Or maybe it would....It would have to be a big head.. Or you could just applique a bear head on the front of the pillow case....

I have a pattern at home that is really old. It may very well be the one you are looking for. The quilt looks like the bear is lying under it. I think the picture on the pattern shows a bumble bee on his nose. I will look this afternoon and get back with you on Monday. I made a BUNCH of these "back in the day". Hope I can find it, and I remember.
