I'm probably thinking of this because it is what I'm working on right now:
http://blog.fabshophop.com/blog/inde...-with-a-quilt/ If you click on the 'a walk in the woods' photo, a free pdf with directions pops up. IMO, it would work well with these fabrics if a sold or 2 was added to the mix I did make a small change though. I did not cut the rectangles until after they are joined because of the bias |
Love your fabrics and a D9P is a good pattern for your fabrics. With an off white would be the way I would go.

A chevron pattern with a cream solid would show off this fabric, the fabric is stunning therefore you do not want a "fussy" pattern. Keep it simple whatever you do as the fabric is vibrant enough.

I wonder how many quilters choose the fabric first? And how many choose the fabric first? Cant wait to see how it plays out! |
Those are great. Please show us what you come up with.

I really like the quilts with black backgrounds too. Try a piece of black next to those fabrics and see what happens. I think black will really bring those colors out with a stained glass effect. I agree with the others, your fabrics are bold enough that I think a simple pattern is best too.
Just my opinion, Rodney |
How about a chevron quilt. I think there is a free pattern out there for one called Zig Zag or something like that.

I have been playing around with EQ7 some, besides D4P & D9P layouts
came up with the following 2 so far. Of course they are not in the actual fabrics but as close as I can get with what EQ7 offers (I don't want to scan in my fabrics). |

I think they would look great in a zig zag quilt or Chevron with an added solid.
