Lover's knot pattern
These days I seem to be technology challenged. Can someone find written directions for this pattern? I tried to work with just a photo but it's hopeless! Thanks.

does this help? It's for paper piecing, but I think you could follow the diagram and work out your own measurements if you didn't want to paper piece it.

Here are cutting directions. http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/tr...uilt-block.htm
And here us a link to a blog where she makes the blocks. http://maylifeonline.blogspot.com/20...-knot.html?m=1 |
it looks much like a log cabin modified type block. you are just wrappi g fabric around a center point?

I'm doing a similar one just from a picture as you are trying to do. I've started writing down my steps for future reference, but haven't finished doing so. It is coming out quite nicely.
Are you wanting your stripes to interlace or just use only the two colors of fabric? I'm doing mine with background and two other colors interlacing so you see one overlapping the other. |
here's one a member did using multiple colors http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t209181.html
i made one once using eleanor burn's pattern http://www.amazon.com/Lovers-Knot-Qu.../dp/1891776312 |
That is a very interesting pattern and one that I am going to check out.

I have the pattern and have been meaning to do one ever since I saw one done in blacks and golds, at my (not so local) QS. Honestly, I haven't really even read thru the directions tho.
