Newer machines do. It's handy. Older machines give you a surprise when they run out.

My Pfaff QE 4.2 has. It leaves quite a bit of thread on the bobbin so I just take it as a warning. If I am piecing I can easily look at the bobbin and see how much is left. If I am quilting though not easy to check but have learned that it will be empty very quickly as compared to piecing. I quickly look for a good place to stop FMQ.

My Husqvarna Sapphire 930 has it, but I can sew for about 40 more inches before it actually runs out. I did see a hack on how to get around this, but it was before I got this machine and my old didn't have this feature so I didn't save the tip. Darn!

My Janome 9400 has it and can be changed if you need/want a different low bobbin thread warning. A very very nice feature. I usually just change out the bobbin when I get the warning and use the remainder of bobbin when I am piecing another project. A nice bells and whistle feature!!

Oh no, I have never had this and I just told my HB about this , that all you girls have that and I do not. He says"does that mean you need a different machine" I said maybe!!!! I have a 440QE bernina. I would like a bigger throat. Some day.

The 770 is great. Lots of space for quilting. And that bobbin thing . |
My older 2003 Pfaff 2044 has a low bobbin indicator/image(no beeps) that shows on the screen.

Thank you for the info, it certainly has taken them long enough to update sewing machines

Aw nuts. Another "must have feature" if I get a new machine.
|
my quilt designer also has one I can sew a few more stiches before it is empty
