Low End Berninas?

Does anyone use any of the low end Bernettes or Berninas? I already have the 440 QE & love it but want another machine to sew on when the 440 is humming away with embrodiery. I do not want to get into 4 figures for a second machine but I do love my Nina! Any thoughts or suggestions?

Check your Bernina store for a 'gently used' machine.

yes, I plan on doing that. I think some will be traded in for the holidays. I was hoping that I would get some feed back if people liked the small machines.

I am interested in the responses you get. I was thinking anout getting a low end Bernina for my granddaughter; but maybe a "gently used" Bernina would be better. I love Berninas!

Can't give you any feedback on Bernina's, but I wish you well in your search. Seems like this would be a good time of year, what with holiday sales and/or trade-ins!

You might try using the search function - if I remember, there have been discussions on the Bernettes not being nearly as good as the Berninas.

One thing you might want to consider is to see what comes up right before and after Christmas. Often people will trade in a machine in order to upgrade. Let your local dealer know what you might be interested in buying and perhaps they'll call you when one comes in. Good luck. I'm considering doing the same thing so I can have a smaller machine to take to classes, retreats, etc.
