Being out of work for 17 months and not able to collect unemployment I can only take care of myself when it comes to my quilting. I have to look for bargans or my own stash.

I have an LQS in my town. That being said, they are high, approx $11/yd and no decent thread, and the ladies are snotty. One said about my tablerunner that she would not have wasted her time on that project. It is about 10 minutes from my house. I rarely shop there. I do drive about 30 minutes from my home to another LQS where it's better prices and customer services although thread is still expensive. I buy thread near where I work b/c it's priced reasonably. You buy where and what you can afford.
