I went to our local Joanns this morning, (they are closing and opening a larger store about 10 miles away), to find out that a the prices went way down, 75% off all fabric, but you had to buy the whole bolt, 75% off all books, and 75% off all quilting items, wow I got about 15 new rulers, 8 new books, oh and all thread was 90% off, so I stocked up on that too. I think I am set now. :p:p:p:p:p

Wow! That is some lucky find!! Our new JoAnns is supposed to open March 7th (or 9th) can't remember. I am excited.

ours in OKcity is moving as well,, BUT, they had a company come in to liquidate the stock and holy cow flies...the prices all went UP...and the GOOD threads actually got moved, so NO bargains there at all! I was very upset after driving 2 hours to get there!

Wow you got lucky. When ours closed they went to a liquidator and the prices were a joke....not even 40% off.

Lucky you. I rarely find bargains like that, although to be honest, I would have to leave the apt. and my arthritis doesn't always let me do that. It's tough to get old, but I'm happy you got such great deals.

Wow , I would love to see a photo of that haul! Did you need a truck to get home? it makes me think , of my Dad. whenever there was a good bargain going on , and we would get all excited... he would say "better take the truck!"

our 2 Joanns did that about a month ago at one of the stores i got some good deals, at the other store when i was in there it looked like the employees had a lot of stuff held back for them to buy !!and the public was not able to go thru it and purchase any of it, needless to say there were a few of us customers that were upset about it !!

2 of our stores are being moved into 1 building and all their employees were given pink slips and told they have to re-apply for their jobs..my 2 favorite ladies are both within 17 months of retiring from the one and only job they ever had and because they did not make it to 30 they will not be receiving their full retirement package and to top it off there is no need for them to re-apply because this new store will not be carrying much fabric etc.. to bring in younger customers who do other crafts like scrap booking and jewelry makers.I left the store and left my already cut fabs sit I will never spend another penny in any of their stores if this is how they treat hard working loyal employees- P*SS on them.Upon getting home I sent them an E-mail letting them know that I would be sure to spread the word of the shabby treatment of these 2 women Shame on JoAnns
