Lucy Boston - POTC - are there other ways besides inklingo to do this?
I first heard about Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses on the Inklingo website. I'm not sure I feel like ironing fabric to freezer paper and playing with the settings on my printer not to mention the $$ to purchase the files.
Are there templates available for this pattern or has anyone made this quilt without using Inklingo? |
I don't know about commercial templates, but Linda (Inklingo) has a free EQ POTC block download, and I printed out paper templates from the EQ file.

don't know the answer to this, but have been looking at beautiful blocks!

Where is that located? I don't see it on the Lucy Boston page. |
You can EPP just the same way you would hexagons. I'm sure there are sites (as Pickish mentioned) that you can print out the templates. I plan to do the Lucy Boston at some point. Will do EPP, and fussy cut.

Yeah, sometimes individual websites don't have the best search feature. I find it easier to google the name of the website and specifically what I'm looking for. In this case it was "inklingo POTC EQ" and it took me right to the page.

If you want to do EPP I use Paper Pieces1" Honeycomb ones. E-mail address www.paperpieces.com Great service and good web site.

Well after some research, I drew the shape for the 1" size in CorelDraw and my husband cut an acrylic template for me with the laser engraver.
I'm going to use this to trace and mark pieces to see if I actually want to make the whole quilt. The examples I've seen with great color combinations are tempting me to try this. |
