Jenny Doan has a new tutorial on machine binding front and back. No more hand stitching for me. Check it out. She also has a scrappy 9 patch that Im going to try made with charm packs.
I saw a quilt today that looked like it was 3 D. Tumbled Blocks or something like that. It was amazing. I could sew night and day. |
Do you have the website? I'd love to see it, I hate hand sewing.
|
Do you have a link?
|
You can go to Missouri Star Quilt Co. at www.missouristarquilts.com or they have the same one on UTube. They have all the MSQ ones on there. Just type in quilt binding

I never have hand stitched a binding. I know it is an option, but since I have a machine I will use it to it's fullest capacity. :-)

Thanks for posting this. I've been searching for good tutorials on binding. Here's a link right to the video:

Hannajo, thank you for posting the site. I love viewing videos from the Missouri Quilt Co. This was a good one and I actually saw something that I had not done before in her technique.
|
Thank you for this site! I prefer to bind by machine rather than by hand and she gives some good tips I'll try for my next quilt.
|
will give it a try, thanks

Im making a lap quilt for my niece so I am going to try the rick rack around the binding like she did in the tutorial. Ill post a picture when its done.

That was a pretty good video. I hadn't seen that one. Thanks for providing the linky.

I thought it was a good video. I would have liked to see how the back of the quilt looked, though. I've been machine bniding my quilts lately and I am working very hard to make sure that the stitching line is as invisible as possible. The last one I did you could not see it at all. I will definitely try out using one of the decorative stitches on my next one.

love Missouri Star! There is also a link for tutorials on the top of the page
