Hope someone can help me.
I want to monogram a towel wrap for my MIL for xmas. Do I need to put any special stabilizer or anything on top of the towel to keep the stitches from sinking into the towel?? Thanks!! |
Yes, a light water soluble stabilizer will keep the stitches on top of the towel and out of the nap :D:D:D
|
I would use a wash away on the front of the towel. I have also used Something called heat away brush off stabilizer, I found it at a Salvation army resale store.

YES YES YES - when doing towels, I use stabilizer on the back and I use 2 layers of topper - my favorite is OESD's Aquafilm.
|
I don't use stabilizer on the back just thread in the bobbin that matches the towel. With wash away on the front.
