I was reading a quilting blog and someone said they quilt twice as fast by using a double needle.
I was wondering how this would look, and if anyone here has any experience doing this, would you please share the profits and pitfalls of such a wacky practice? |
My Viking has a foot to do this along with doing decrotive stitches. It looks really nice.

You can pivot with a double needle. Raise the needles and leave only one in the fabric. I use a lot of triangular pintucks in heirloom.

I use a double needle to stitch in the ditch. I don't thread but one needle. The unthreaded one is to keep the stitch line perfect equal distance and straight.
