I decided to come to the experts. I am interested in buying a machine quilting frame. I can't afford a longarm. Any suggestions. I looked at a Bernina frame. It was $2800. Ouch.

I saw these at the Road2CA show. My friend bought the stretch fame for 899, it will take a regular machine or a mid arm. She loves it. Hinterberg has been around forever. All of their frames a quality.http://www.hinterberg.com/machine-quilting-frames.aspx

I just got a Grace Pinni Frame from Sewvacdirect.com. They have a number of different Grace frames and many of the others. Great prices and the shipping is free. Check them out.

Yep, me too. In fact my friend just had to take hers down and said it took less than 15 minutes. If I were going to machine quilt that is what I would buy.
Hinterberg has been making frames for years. In fact if you have seen Ninnie's handquilting thread on here. That is what she has is one of the handquilting frames.

oh my beating heart be still I have to have one of these...would they be hard to learn to use?

I'd recommend checking out the different frames offered by Grace. They're not as feature rich as the more expensive frames, but they are functional, and much more affordable. Also -- make sure you check Craigslist. I see people selling quilting frames locally all the time on there.

I just bought the gracie sturdy lite, updated my carriage, and the 1600p and the 6500p from sew vac direct they gave me a discount just for asking how they could help with the price! They delivered all my of my order so quickly and offered tracking number. Ask for Steve he is wonderful... I live to far from a dealer in my area, so this offered a great way for me to get my setup. I love it..
