I finally did my 1st quilt on my gracie. Now, I do I tie off all those start and stops? I went to Joanns today and got Frey Block, I read where that should work? Has anyone tried this or has an "easier" way?

i use this product but i don't use it for every stop and stop.

i prefer to use super tiny locking stitches for starts and stops.

i save the fray block for those unexpected stops like when the thread breaks or the bobbin was low and i didn't change it before it ran out.

If the starts and stops aren't going to show (busy fabrics or in a ditch) do a little backtrack. For show quilts or quits where the stops and starts will be distracting, I leave enough of a tail from the top and bottom threads, tie a square knot, and thread a needle and bury the threads. I used a "Spiral Eye" needle - they really make this part of the job easier!

Thats what I figured. I have to bury those buggers.
On the frey block, do you need to pull the top thread to the back and use it? Or can I just put a dab on the top and the back of the quilt?
