Could you please tell me the best way to end a row of stitches when machine quilting? :?:

I will usually just stitch in place a couple of stitches. Some people will back stitch, but depending what you are doing those back stitches may show up a little different than the rest.

are you quilting with the walking foot or free motion

I end my stitches in the seam line where I sew on the binding whenever I can..
Other wise I just take 3-4 very small stitches when I start and stop, in the ditch to help hide the beginning/ending stitches.

Set your machine to very tiny little stitches and stitch 9 or 10 stitches, finish up the same way.

I use the tiny stitches, too.

Or you can just run off the edge of the fabric if you are doing edge to edge pattern.

I try to do edge-to-edge quilting as much as possible. Then there's no need to back stitch or 'over' stitch 3 or 4 stitches. This makes the quilting sturdier, too, because the threads won't have to be cut close to the stitches, and you won't cut stitches by mistake!

I take a few small stitches when I start and stop. It's always worked for me.
