I have a lot of thread I used with my longarm. I no longer have the longarm but thought I might be able to use the thread. Can it be used for anything else?
I would think it could be used for piecing.
I use any and all thread on my LongArm.....and I've used serger thread on my sewing machine. The only way to REALLY know is to give it a try!!! Have fun!
It should work.
I use all types of thread for quilting with my domestic, and a variety of it for piecing too :D:D:D
it will work i use it for everything and even used embroidery thread in my longarm. the only thing i couldnt use feo everythign was rayon. too thin for longarming.

You should be able to use your large spools for both machine and hand sewing. You could get one of those stand-alone spool holders for a regular machine. They sell one at Joann's Fabrics.
You should be able to use it for all of your sewing. I know I do!
If the thread is cotton I think it'd be fine for all your quilting (piecing/quilting) on your regular machine. The only other thread I use is rayon for my embroidery.
