I have a question for any sewing machine technicians or people who maybe repair there own machines. I have a Janome DC3018. I took it in to have it cleaned and serviced in October. I was sewing at a retreat the next weekend and it started squeaking, then it started clunking. If I sew fast it sounds almost like a machine gun. I took it back and of course it didn't squeak or clunk the technician checked it out again but couldn't find anything. It usually starts out ok but then gets louder the more I sew. The stitch is fine. If any of you have any suggestions or ideas I'd really appreciate you input.

Isn't that the way things always go. Works fine when a tech is looking at it, but fails as soon as they lewave the room.

It sounds to me like you may need a little (LITTLE) drip of oil on the needle bar shaft.

My Brother machine would quit sewing altogether at one workshop. It would start sewing then just quit. I about pulled my hair out. At home that very night it sewed perfectly. DH said if my machine was in a power strip with a lot of other machines all going to one plug then my machine was not getting enough power. ? It is a high speed Brother so maybe that was the reason. No breaker tripped at all but he stands by the not enough power thing.

I'll try a drop of oil and see what happens.
