I'm going to Macon Georgia next week with my husband. He will be in biz meetings all day so I'd like to go looking at fabric for the day. We will actually be staying in a hotel in north Macon. Does anyone know of any quilt shops or fabric shops in the area?

PS I've looked in the Quilter's Travel Companion & there's just not much there.

When I googled quilt shops macon ga I found three shops. Malone Fabrics, lipson fabrics and Hancocks.

I live 20 minutes north of Macon and I am sorry to have to tell you that there are no quilt shops there. The only store that sells cotton fabrics is Hancocks---the other 2 that farscapegal mentioned only sell decorator fabrics.

If you are willing to drive north towards Atlanta (but not all the way to Atlanta), there are three shops you could visit. If you are interested in them, send me a PM and I will let you know where they are.
