Has anyone seen or used the Magic-Quilt No Sew
Wall Hangings kits?

I was at a newly discovered quilt shop yesterday
and I found some and purchased 2 sizes large &
small. I thought this would be a good and easy
way for me to add some pretty cover to my parents
assisted living rooms. Thought that maybe I could
change the fabrics for each season/holiday to give
them a change of colors.

I picked up two.

I haven't tried them but they are so pretty.

They look pretty, but I have never seen any of the quilts or kits before.

They are both very pretty. how does it work? fusibles?

Quilty-Louise 09-13-2011 07:15 AM

No not fusible. It is laser cut foam and you basically
just "tuck" the fabric into the cut lines for the pattern.

Go the website (hopefully the link will work) and look
at the picture instructions.

I am getting ready to give my hummingbird a try, although
I do NOT like the fabric that was selected, so I am going
to use my own fabrics.
Will post a picture when finished and give my "opinion"
on what I think about the product.

My DGD & I made 2 for her mom & aunt a couple of years ago. The worst part was cutting all the fabrics to tuck into the foam board. They were cute when finished.

I tried finding more info about these as to if they
can be "changed" or not so far I am unable to
find out.

Maybe I will just call the company and ask.

I saw those at a quilt show and bought one but haven't got around to fixing it yet.

I did several of these a couple of years ago. The cutting of the fabric pieces is time consuming, but the results are worth it. I bought the kits, but not their fabrics. I bought patterns that I wouldn't even THINK of trying to sew, due to the small pieces!! Don't even know if they COULD be done by sewing.

Haven't tried them - but look very interesting
