magnifying floor lamps

I have ARMD and wondering what others of you are doing in the area of magnifying floor lamps? Have you had one that you hated or one that you would recommend to a friend?
thanks

I tried a battery operated magnifying light that you hang around your neck, although it worked as advertised, I didn't like it too much because it moved every time I moved.

I love my Ott light with the attached magnifier. I had to find just the right position for it by the couch though.

Check needlepoint forums for best advice for these type of lamps. Needlepointers know their lamps!

I also have an Ottlite. One with the lights around the magnifying circle. Works great, since I don't have to keep moving it. Though it stays by the couch. :)

just be sure not to let the sun light shine on it too much. others have had a small fire happen.

I do not have one. I would like to get a floor lamp either with or without the magnifier.

I have a Verilux daylight lamp. It is very bright and has added health benefits.

I have an Ottlite floor lamp (no magnifier) and I love it. I bought it for cross-stitch.

yup! I melted the plastic cover on a chair! Luckily caught it before it burst into flame--would have been a disaster since I have volunteer fire service.
