Hi everyone, so I have made several donation quilts over the years for different causes, however this will be the first time I will need to mail them , so my question is do you lace them in large plastic bags prior to shipping? In case of rain, etc...or just box them and hope all is well. Any suggestions??? Thanks for your help

I put in a zip lock bag for smaller ones or wrap in a garbage bag if bigger. So if weather or something leaks it should stay dry.

Thanks, I will put them in plastic bags just to be safe, I just didn't want someone opening the box and saying nice quilts but she didn't pack them right and now they're ruined. That would be too sad!

Post a picture before you send it out though! |
I agree, put it in a plastic bag.

I always mail my quilts in plastic bags. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks, I will place them in plastic bags first. I will try to post pics tonight, I'm a little computer challenged, :)

Thanks for this thread. I never even thought about putting them in a plastic bag. That would make it even easier to slide them in the box.

I always pack in plastic - better safe than sorry, huh?
