I turned a box inside out to send pincushions to a friend. Try it.

You are so darn clever!!
How did you make the pumpkin one?? It's really cute!!

np3 10-25-2010 12:57 PM

Was it stiff enough to go through the mail safely?

cjomomma 10-25-2010 12:57 PM

That's a neat idea but would the box be strong enough when tossed around by the po ppl?

PegD 10-25-2010 12:59 PM

Your pincushions are so cute.

Aren't you the clever one. I'll have to try that sometime.

The PO seems to not like extra tape on their flat rate boxes, so when I have something in them that bulges, I first put some Elmer's Glue in it to hold the ends together, let it dry and then stuff it, glue on the top flaps, let it dry. I don't have to do more than add a line of plain desk tape, if any. Works for me.

I used to save my market day boxes for shipping. corregated, turned inside out, perfect size for care pkgs. for kids at college.

You can also send any box with writings on the outside with no problem. Just to be sure your label is prominent.
