The other day I was at one of my local quilt shops and met the maker of this quilt. he was with his wife who is also a quilter.

bebe,
Thanks so much for sharing that link - all I can say is WOW!!!!!! I have saved the link to read up on later...
Meanwhile, it's funny - perhaps the maker and I are related what back when - we have the same last name - Locke..... LOL

IT is truly wonderful! I saw it at the IQS in Rosemont,IL in2008. They had it hung high suspended from the ceiling. I think the bottom of it was 9-10 ft from the ground. The man who made it was on hand to answer questions.
It made a huge impression on the crowds.

I have seen this quilt 3 times. It is so unique as is the quilter and his wife. The back and the machine quilter is a story in its self. Do not pass up a chance to see this. We asked if he had insurance, he said yes, but could not tell us how much.

  That is one incredible quilt! I've never seen anything like it! I'll have to spend some time reading up on that one.
