If you you just make a small piece, you will never look at batik the same way again!

I can't imagine all that would go into making it.

I'd like to know how you go about making it? I love Batiks and they are expensive. Is it cheaper to make your own?

Check out this site!I haven't made this yet,but it's next on my list.Nice step by step photos.http://eyesaflame.blogspot.com Scroll down, left side under Demo flour paste batik. Don't remember where I got this link from ,it might have been on here.

TO start out with it doesn't pay to make your own, considering the stuff you need to do it, but if you really like the process it is worth it.

I looked at the site. Sounds fascinating. I bookmarked the site for further study.

For me...and I can only speak for myself...this is way too much effort. There are too many gorgeous batiks out there to go through all this.
