and I have to say I do NOT like this fusible fleece! It is not sticking good and is just being a pia. I think felt would be easier. I cut material for 2 bags.....at this rate i may only make one though! Its what they recommended in the pattern too. I saw one of these bags at the Toga and loved it...she said she took a class to make it. I can believe that!

Was your iron hot enough? Did you hold it in one spot long enough? Maybe you got some faulty fleece, You could spray bast it on maybe. Once it is quilted it will hold together nicely, I have read some people are just using batting and spray basting it. Don't know why that wouldn't work. I love making them but the only time I had a problem was when the iron wasn't held on the fusible long enough. Hope you can get into the swing of things!

I had trouble with it sticking too. Package said dry heat to fuse it but I had to use steam to really get it to fuse. Made severial purses with it with no problems.

Maybe sens a Pm to some that have made the bags and ask for help . Everyone here is very helpful, maybe they can send you a trick or two :wink:

Did you prewash your fabric? I had better luck with it fusing when I used fabric that I had prewashed and made sure not to use softner in the wash. I thought it might be due to the chemicals the fabric is treated with.

Try spray baste. You could always hand baste (sorry, but had to say it).

no I didn't prewash this fabric.....usually I do but was impatient to start. The iron is hot and I have held it there a long time.....in some places it sticks and in others it doesn't. I ended up pinning as much as I could to get it to stay in place. I only have enough of the fleece to do one bag so may try batting or something for the other one. I'm almost done with this one. Doing the handles now. Just frustrated with it.

My first one was the hardest to do after that it was a breeze!

The first one I did was a little tedious, but I stuck to it, (Needed a challange)..... I had to hold down my iron also to keep the fusible web sticking, make sure you wait for it to cool off a little b4 handeling though.

Isn't that the truth? by the time your done, you know what your doing!! LOL
