Add my name to the fan of this method. I saw it on a Jordan Fabrics video too. I was surprised at how well it worked.

I use to use my grandmothers's old sad iron. You can use a bacon press, a brick wrapped in pretty duct tape, anything that won't roll. I now use the Quilters Slidelock for the safety and it holds the ruler in place.

I use a 4lb weight on the very top of the 6x24 ruler and then use two more 3lb weights down the length of the ruler. Boy, does that really help. Makes cutting much easier.

I use a sad iron also. Seems to be heavy enough.

Help, I can't find it on her website. What do I look under? Sounds interesting. Thank you

If you’re looking for Donna Jordan check the Jordan Fabrics channel on YouTube. Most of their videos show them using the weight.

There is a big Video Tutorial button on top right of their website page. She uses the weights in most of the videos.
