Can someone post instructions for making zippered leaders for a quilt frame? I saw this somewhere and can't find it again. Also, where do you find the zippers and what kind do you recommend? Thanks, Joyce in Georgia

Wow. This sounds interesting. I've never seen those.

I would think you could look for sleeping bag zippers maybe?

There's probably a tutorial about this on the homequiltingsystems list at http://groups.yahoo.com . Might be worth joining to look.

Here's a tutorial: http://sunrisequiltstudio.blogspot.c...al-part-1.html

I decided to use velcro instead of zippers and so far I'm happy with it, but I've only done one quilt since I made the velcro leaders.

Thanks so much for the link to the yahoo group. I was already a member and am printing out the instructions as we speak. Joyce in Georgia

Great post! and great tutorial.
I need to make leaders for my hand-quilting Grace z4...
Any ideas on if this would work for non-longarms?

On my handquilting grace frames, I have a leader that I just put straight pins or safety pins in. It works great, but I bet velcro would work just as well.
