Saturday is National Quilting Day!
The National Quilting Association has a special block this year - "Welcome Home".

On their website, they say: "We would like to encourage our members, guilds, and sponsors to join together and give their effort and energy to those who may be struggling for warmth and comfort. We created this pattern, "Welcome Home", to help you help others."
Here's a link to the pattern:

I really like this pattern & have just copied it. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us, on the quilting board. I am excited to make one. Will there be more blocks to go with this one? Or is this the only one?
Again, Thank You,
Cheryl

Love that block. I didn't know there was a national quilting day. Every day is a quilting day at my house. LOL

How awesome that we get our own day. Let's see, how will I celebrate???? Seems like it ought to involve quilting somehow!

Gosh, Sue, thought it was the whole month...I've been trying to find something interesting for a wallhanging. Think you just gave it to me,
U N L E S S

We join together and make our blocks and someone makes quilts to send to the ones that have no warmth????

Just a thought, I couldn't undertake a putting together but I would make a block and send money to help with batting. hint hint

You are a good observant calendar watcher.
Hugs,
Sharon

I work all day, but I could definately use this as an excuse to get some sewing in when I get home tonight! (As if I need an excuse, lol!)

WARNING:::::::::I started adding up the block sizes and this is a 64" square quilt! It is not a small wall hanging, much to my dismay!!!

I still want to make it, but not today - it's HUGE!!!

That'll teach me to read it all the way through, eh?
