Marshall Dry Goods?

Has anyone used Marshall Dry Goods? I saw an ad for it on this forum and clicked to the website. I like their prices on batiks expecially, but am concerned about how good the fabric is. Does it bleed? I mostly use Hoffman or Moda or such from LQS and am always nervous buying fabric online. Plan to make a queen size quilt for myself (finally!) and have some great batiks to start. Need some fillers though, and am considering something like this.

Thy carry the same brands as you use. Some are good and some not just like all quilt fabric.

What I bought was good fabric and fast service but I don't know about the Batiks. I love Hoffman fabrics.

I recently ordered quilt back material from them, and it was much less expensive than the exact same fabric I had gotten from Thousands of Bolts. It was very good fabric and the service was excellent.

I have purchased from them at least 3 times always great service and happy with quality of fabric. But have never purchased there batiks.

I go to the actual warehouse many times as it's about 2 hours away. I see quilt shop vans in the parking lot and see the owners piling up fabric bolts on the big rolling carts. Every brand of fabric is there except Moda. From Walmart fabric to Jenny Beyer. You can buy the bolt without a tax number for less then $4 a yard but you have to buy the whole bolt. You can buy by the yard at a higher price though. The clearance table is full usually about $1 yard. Lots of flat folds, buy 3 - 5 yards at one price. The service is excellent. Sign up for the email of new arrivals at the wholesale site, different then the retail site. You will get a picture of every new fabric that comes in.

Batesville AR Marshall's has a Facebook page now.

I saw the same ad and asked about it. The (non batik) fabric I got was very good, the price excellent and delivery fast.

Thanks so much for all your input. I'm a staunch supporter of my local shops, but sometimes I just can't afford to buy what I need.

I've ordered three times and been really happy with the quality of fabric. Besides novelty prints, I usually order the 108" wide backings as that is the very best value. The local quilt shop's backings are exactly the same as what I buy but cost @4.00 more per yard. I just got in an order of tie dyed backings and the fabric is thick and tightly woven. I haven't tested for colourfastness but since I use Color Catchers I'm not sure it will be a big problem. I ordered a bunch of batiks from another company and the colour ran some, but not too badly and the designs on the Marshall's batiks are the very same I have, so I'm guessing they came from Marshalls to begin with.

I have purchased lots of fabric from them, and I've been very pleased.

I live in Australia and have purchased twice from them and the quality is great.
