How is the 50 yard flat fold quilt top material used that is advertised on Marshall's? Has anyone used it?
|
Check with Mayrse but I think it is a total of 50 yards of fabric for quilt tops.... meaning a mixture of different patterns . And you would use it like any other fabric
|
it's described as being a poly/cotton blend.
10 5-yard cuts of 90" wide fabric. that's roughly 2 queen size backs from each cut, for a total of 20 backs. they seem to be all cheater prints, so you'd end up with reversible quilts. my guess is that they're a lightweight weave. most cheater prints are. for the price, i'd say that's a pretty good deal. |
I didn't see those while I was there (in the store). What I did see was 17 5yd cuts of blenders for $102!!!!! I was only there for about 4 hours, not nearly long enough.

If you get the flat fold quilting cotton it's a mixture of all manufactures. I got Jenny Beyer, Thimbleberries, Marcus Bros, South Sea, Red Rooster, and designer fabric lines. It has been several years since I bought the flat fold. I am still using from it. I know they sold the bundles to quilt shops, I had an owner buy one for me. You can call and ask.
