Martelli 45 mm cutter

Is there another brand of cutter similar to the red handled martelli ergonomic cutter on the market? I like how it works and does help my hands but it is a bear to take apart and clean or change blades. I am used to a straight handled Olfa cutter and it is easy to take apart but hurts my hand. Any help? I am not a happy camper as the spring sprund on my martelli and I am stuck without this cutter, have to go back to my Olfa.

Call the Martelli company and explain what happened. They usually replace the unit for free. At least that has been my experience. Great company to do business with. Wonderful products. Just Google martelli.com I think.

I have the Olfa with the ergonomic handle and it works well for me.
BTW I have carpal tunnel.

You can call them or email them and they should send you a new spring. Here's the youtube video showing you how to replace the spring. I did it and my cutter is now good as new. Good luck.
