Matching seams when paper piecing

I am making Midnight Floral Fantasy by Karen Kay Buckley and am putting the paper pieced blocks together. If I leave the paper on, my matching seams are all going the same direction and are very bulky. (It's a pineapple block.) If I pull back the paper to butt the seams so they go in opposite directions, I'll have to repress my seams and I'm also worried that the bias will stretch. Which way do you recommend?
Thanks everyone!

Try one with out any adjustments and see if you are happy.

When doing the FWS and PC blocks I sometimes had to do that and it was OK .... yes it's bulky, but a whack of the hammer, a spritz of water, hot iron and some Best Press ... and they came out flat as a pancake!

If you've done all your blocks already, it's probably too late for you ... but if not, you might want to look at the PP patterns and see if you can re-arrange the order of placement to get the seams lining up the way you want. I was often able to do this, so long as I remembered, sooner, rather than later!

With the pineapple block, no matter which way you turn it, it's the same. I'll give sewing it and pounding it a try, though. Thanks!
