So - deemail - if I am reading correctly - when planning to cut on the bias, I'm shooting for the same end result in inches, but in cutting on the diagonal, I would end up with a different number of strips to end up with the same number of inches. I'm probably saying this badly - I am a visual learner and can draw it out fairly easily. Cheers, K
as you make the first bias cut, it will be (for a one yard piece.....36 x 1.414) or 50 in long for each complete middle strip...then there will be a few that are the same length, right beside it, but soon they will get shorter and of course, you made a big triangle with the first cut so you will go back on that piece where they get shorter, too... |
