Math help please!!
I want to make a summer in the park quilt. That pattern used 2.5 inch strips , sew 3 together then sew that strip set to another strip set and the cut on the 45 degree line. If I have 2 inch strips done the same way, what would the degree be that I need?

If I understand your question... 45 degrees. That quilt is 45 degree angles no matter how wide the strips.

I agree with Tim -- it would still be a 45 degree angle. If you used 2 inch strips, your resulting squares would be smaller in size, therefore requiring more blocks for the same sized quilt! Be sure to show us pictures!

The degrees do not change, what changes is the finished size, instead of 2" strips you will have 1 1/2" strips so you will have a much smaller finish. ( when the 2 strip sets are sewn together with the 2 1/2" strips you have 12" pieces, when you use 2" strips you wind up with 9" pieces)

Thank you all.
