Math help - please?
I can't afford to replace this fabric if I screw up. I want to make a Warm Wishes quilt with my finished blocks to be 6 inches. I know my focus fabric is to be cut 6.5 inches but the strips have me stumped because the center one is larger than the 2 outer strips. I know it's basic math but we all have our Achilles heel. Will someone please tell me what sizes the 3 strips should be cut to end up with a 6 inch finished block?

You would need to cut strips of 2.5", join three and sub-cut into 6.5" blocks.

center one is larger than the 2 outer strips |
If you want the centre strip to be wider than the others, then you need to cut your focus fabric at 6” to finish at 5.5”
then cut your strips, 2,3,2 and you will get 6” unfinished. https://www.quiltingcompany.com/wp-c...-crib_size.pdf |
Thank you ladies! I really appreciate your help. It was the wider middle strip that threw me. I'll make them all 2.5 and be done with it.

Do you have the pattern? I believe it is still available free on the internet, if that helps.
