making the outside triangles larger is fine. then trim leaving a good 1/4 inch past each center square "corners". some leave even more room so it "floats". just depends on the look you want. Good luck!

Thanks, guys for your advice. As I said, I messed up the existing triangle when ripping out the sashing, so I was only replacing the triangles on one block. Other than that, I'm allergic to triangles. I don't think they add enough interest to be worth the effort.
Of course, I just quilt for my own pleasure and for gifts. bkay |
