Matilda or Martelli rotating cutting mat
My birthday is coming up and I am trying to decide between Matilda’s rotating cutting mat, and the Martelli. Thoughts??
|
I just bought the Matilda on Craftsy but I don't have it yet. It was marked way down from the regular price. The Martelli looks nice as well but is a lot more expensive.
Sorry I don't have an answer! |
Well, that may have just decided for me! Money left over for fabric
i like the idea of the ironing pad on the Martelli, but I see it doesn’t have any angle lines, just a design. thank you for the tip! |
Cynthia, I've heard good and bad things about both. You really can't beat the price on Craftsy and the way I look at it I won't be using it all the time- just when a rotating mat is needed. Hope you enjoy whichever you get! :)

Enjoy yours as well, Susie! Happy Quilting

I have the Martelli one bought at a great sale price. There is only one inch difference it the size of it from the Matilda one. If I didn't have one I'd buy the one that had the best sale price.

I love my Martelli -- especially that is has ball bearings and rotates very smoothly. I don't know the other brand so can't really compare. Martelli has great sales and that is the best time to buy their brands. They are my favorite company but are a bit more expensive.

I have a rotating mat but don't use it. I prefer using a small mat and turning it when I want. It may not "rotate" but it easily rotates when I turn it. It was a cheaper option and works well for me.

I have the Martelli. If you sign up for their newsletter they have great sales. I got mine for half price. I love this mat!
