I thought I posted this request last night but today I can't find it. Maybe someone can tell me how to find it. Anyway, what I need is suggestions for an easy quick pattern to make for grandaughter's new bedroom....twin size. Thanks...have a quality day!

Warm Wishes, Rail Fence are a couple that I can think of, I'm sure that there will be plenty of other suggestions.

Yellow Brick Road, Rail Fence, Disappearing 9 patch are a few that come to mind. Or you could just sew various squares of fabric together, that goes together very quickly especially if you have charm packs or layer cakes on hand. Or Missouri Star Quilts has a tutorial showing how to whip up a pretty quilt using Layer Cakes. It's called Double Layer Cake or something like that. Enjoy!

I made 3 rail fence lap quilts in two months. Surprised me.

I love the simple nine patch or trip around the world and if you do this one the Eleanor Burns way there are no interlocking seams! yeah!

How about a Turning Twenty (or again!) I also like Take 5 (pick 5 fabrics in 5 minutes, goes together really, really fast)

Rail Fence (or basket weave) is a simple and quick one, and personally I like 9 patch, and double 4 patch. Just some ideas.

DIsappearing 9-patch is my new favorite pattern for an easy, quick, and effective quilt. They can be made with as few as 3 fabrics for a great effect.

"Yellow Brick Road" is my go-to when I need a quickie. I like "Turning 20", too.

Cheaper by the dozen is very quick and easy. Just can't Cut it is a quilt I have made for my 2 daughters and a newphew. I love that pattern. You only need 1 focal fabric for a big block and then 5 other cordinating fabrics for the other block. It is quick, easy, and loks very nice. I am currently making a Disappearing 9 patch in a 4 color way for my graddaughter --but it does take longer to make when making it with only 3 or 4 colors, rather than if you make is scrappy. If you make it scrappy, it goes quick.

I like Disappearing 9 Patch a lot. I just did my first one last night using a Moda Charm Pack I got from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I think it took about 2 hours from the time I opened the charm pack to having it ready for borders!

take 5 is fun and easy and good for a "young" girl's taste or a disappearing 9 patch......

A jelly roll quilt is really fast if you need it. I made one in a day. They use a jelly roll obviously. We did it at our quilt shop as a race. I found that the ones made with bali pops looked the best. If you search you tube for jelly roll race you can see a how to video. Basically you sew all your strips together to make one huge long strip, bring the ends together then cut the seam and keep repeating that until you get to the end, then you square your quilt because the ends will be ragged and jagged but you dont lose much of your quilted material if you take your time. Then we put 2 boarders around it and ended up with a nice lap quilt. You need at least 40 strips and if you really get energetic you can cut up your own strips from your stash. They need to be 2 1/2" by 42-44". My Dd saw it and loved it and asked me to give it to her. I was shocked because she had never really shown any interest in any of the quilts I had done before.

Potato Chip, named because you can't make just one! I think I would downsize the inner block for the twin from 8.5" to an inch or so smaller depending on how large the print is you select for that block.

I have a jelly roll ready right now to make one of these quilts. Remember to cut off 18-20' off the first strip so that your end seams get staggered away from each other.
