May be a silly question
Question 1: Is there a way to increase the font size on here to make reading and posting easier?
I bought one of the new design spray/misters to spray my quilt blocks, the problem is I haven't been able to figure out how to get it open to put the water in. Question 2: Can anyone tell me how to open it? I feel like I am going to break it trying to open it. I haven't had any luck. Help appreciated. thanks |
I look at the link at the top of my computer screen there. it shows 133% or more. Just adjust if you see that.

There are so many spray/misters out there. Can you post a photo or a link so we can see it?

This is normal font. In theory, it is size 3. <font size ="+2"> This is a +2 font. </font> and now it is normal again.
So html code is always in < these brackets. > The code to write inside the two brackets for the size blow up that I did is: font size ="+2" to turn off html code use /font inside the <> brackets. I've attached a screenshot so you can see what is actually typed into this message to get the message you see. |
Answer 1: What are you reading the QB on? Phone, computer, etc? If you're using a computer, simply hold down the CTRL and hit the + to get the size you want.
Answer 2: Yes we need a pic of the item you're talking about. The top doesn't twist off counter-clockwise?? |
Peckish, your way is much easier than learning html code! I didn't know the CTRL + shortcut so thank you!!

Does you mister resemble one that looks like these? https://www.amazon.com/Houseables-Co...%2C136&sr=8-10
IF so then to open you must forcefully unscrew them to the left. I had the same problem when I got mine. They wouldn't budge and I thought if I applied any more pressure I would break it. However, when I finally applied more pressure turning it to the left, it finally opened. It doesn't have a normal screw type mechanism and you will also find that when you close it after taking it off, you have to be sure it is locked in place or it will fall off. |
I love what cashs mom posted. I never knew you could use the mouse & the ctrl button. Thanks so much for that tip.
I always just went to the top of my screen (very top tool bar), found the three little lines & clicked on that. Then found the zoom & increased/decreased that way. Your way is so much easier. |
Thanks so much. That was easy and so helpful.

Yes! that is what it looks like. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it open without ruining it?

There is a little magnifying glass in my address bar with a plus in it I click on this and it opens a box with a + and - I just click on which ever way I want/need to go. I use the browser called DuckDuckGo .com. I love this browser as it blocks trackers throughout the internet.

Yes, thank you. I didn't finish reading the whole post until tonight. I will give this a real go and hope it doesn't set off my locking fingers. Thanks, everyone.

That is incorrect, I think you're confused about the difference between search engines and browsers. DuckDuckgo is a search engine, not a browser. If you don't believe me, search "what is duckduckgo". Every single response will tell you it's a search engine.
Who ever set up your mobile phone or tablet set DuckDuckGo to be the default search engine and it probably has an easy to access button. But when you click enter on whatever you're searching for, it will open a browser window, be it Chrome (Google), Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc. |
Yep! That works for me! Thanks!

They revamped the Quiltingboard some time ago and the font was too small so I did what Peckish said and it's great. Mine says 120% on a Mac.
All my other fonts are at 100. |
Sorry MaryKa, that sounded kinda snarky and I didn't mean it that way. I was just trying to help and I ended up sounding like a know-it-all. Go ahead and smack me. 😜
