I was recently taking a machine quilting class and the teacher introduced grabAroos. They're gloves that have little bumps on the fingers to grab fabric and guide it. Well they were only like $8 so I decided to try them. I have a difficult time with my hands due to rheumatoid arthritis, and other nerve damage issues so I don't have much feeling in the tips either.

ANYWAY...this little guys work great. I can work a little longer because my hands stay warm, have some support without being bulky and I can guide the fabric easily w/o a lot of fatique. They're made out a material that works with the swelling or shrinkage of my hands on any given day w/o a problem.

Pretty happy with my investment...wasn't too sure. And...they're bright purple so they make me happy :) Just thought I'd share.

Aren't they wonderful??! i have the Fon's & Porter gloves and keep mine right by my machine. Its amazing the difference they make.

I have some safety gloves with none slip rubber fingers works well for me and helps the arthritis too. I won't do anything without them even on the big table saw I use my gloves when cutting out the chipboard for hubby

Handbell goves with the dots also work. Make sure you get the ones with the velcro on the wrists and not get them too big.

I switched to Machingers which are very light-weight (breathable) gloves with rubberized finger tips worked in. They fit well, don't overheat the hands and give good traction too.
