MDG 108" Printed Backing
Hello,
Has anyone used the MDG 108" backing? Their prices seem pretty good, but I don't want to purchase an entire bolt without knowing the quality. Thanks, sceniccityred |
Maybe call and ask to be sent a swatch of different prints of it? I know they send batting samples they may send fabric swatches too of their brand, MDG.

I have ordered from them a few times and always been happy with their fabrics. I have never ordered a bolt of their fabric.

most (not all, but most) of the backing fabric in quilt shops and online comes from MDG.
theirs is the first site i check when i need backing, i especially like their tone-on-tone prints. |
I've ordered a lot of 108" bolts from MDG and have never been disappointed. The regular fabric is also a good price and I've never had any problems with any of it. I make mostly charity quilts.

I buy bolts of Dream Cotton solids from MDG. I do steam press before using as I do with Moda Bella or Kona. All three will shrink. . Rep told me Dream Cotton was made at the same place as Moda Bella. All three ravel more then prints for some reason. The colors are gorgeous. I have never had the deepest color bleed. It come in wide backing too.

I just ordered some MDG for the umpteenth time and have never been disappointed. I’ve not ordered an entire bolt before but if I had room and money I would.

what do they mean by preprinted quilt tops? I might use those as backing but fronts, well just to make and give away to charity maybe. just thought odd since they sell backing.

Thank you everyone for the opinions! Very helpful!
